Through CBHNS, Im committed to building partnerships, expanding resources, and creating opportunities that empower our youth, support our families, and strengthen our community for generations to come"

I’m the Administrative Assistant at Casa Blanca Home of Neighborly Service (CBHNS). I’m proud to be part of this amazing nonprofit organization that’s all about giving back and making a difference in our community.

Before joining CBHNS, I worked in retail for 15 years, where I learned valuable skills in customer service, accounting, and teamwork. My time in retail also taught me patience, understanding, and how to connect with people from all walks of life—skills that I now use every day in my role here.

I’ve been with CBHNS for the past 3 years, and I truly love being part of something that brings people together and helps those in need. I'm currently going back to school to refresh and expand my knowledge in business so I can continue to grow and contribute even more to the organization.

It’s a blessing to work with such a dedicated team, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to grow while helping our community thrive.

Born and raised in Casa Blanca, I am deeply honored to serve as a Board Member and as the Acting Director at CBHNS. My passion for social justice and community advocacy drives my commitment to ensuring our neighborhood remains a vibrant, supportive place for generations to come. 

Professionally, I work as an administrative analyst in the field of emergency management -- writing and editing emergency plans for the County. I bring a proactive approach to organizing initiatives that empower the community to thrive.  With an associate’s degree in journalism, and a focus on completing my bachelor’s in communication, I leverage my skills in strategic planning to amplify our mission. 

I am thrilled to be part of the history of the home by cultivating resilience in the neighborhood that shaped me.

Growing up in Casa Blanca and being able to pursue a higher education has taught me being a board member is a privilege, to be able to give back to my community and provide resources within my knowledge, to see it grow and prosper to what it is becoming many families within the neighborhood have been here for many generations including my own, I am proud to say I get to be a part of something to help create a better future within the community for many more generations to come.
